If you caught Sunday Night’s “Millionaire?”, you probably were on the edge of your seat watching the last contestant go for the million dollars. And yes folks, this was more exciting to watch than “Slumdog Millionaire”.
He had one lifeline left, “Ask the Audience”, which according to my good friend Mr. Regis Philbin, has never been the only lifeline left when a person had a chance of winning the big bucks. The question was about the fourth drink that President Lyndon B. Johnson (I can’t believe I’m getting into History) used to have in his office.
The choices were…A) Fresca B) V8 C) Yoo-Hoo and D) A&W
The man had almost five minutes to think about the question. He used his lifeline, and the majority said Yoo-Hoo. This man went to law school, and specificly said that if you wanted to risk on something, you’d have to go to business school. His final words that night were…
“C. (Yoo-Hoo) Final Answer. Regis, give me the million dollars!” Regis then slowly said that he had the wrong answer. It was A) Fresca. The guy ended up making just a mere $25,000.
Wow! Regis was devistated, and so was the poor fellow.
I just had to get this off my chest. Back to movie news in my next entry.
