I went to see “Bolt” for the second time the other day and while waiting to go into the theater got a crazy surprise. You adults know here from the HBO series Curb Your Enthusiasm. You kids now know her as the voice of Mittens, the cat in “Bolt.” Yes, I ran into actress Susie Essman at the theater!
I noticed her from a distance, surrounded by a bunch of people, and told my father – “That’s Susie Essman, that’s Susie Essman!”
Turns out she got married a few months ago and moved not far from where I live. Susie and her family entourage all went to see “Bolt” together since they were all together for Thanksgiving. I introduced myself and then asked her a few questions. She was incredibly nice and friendly. She says she’s very proud of her work in “Bolt” and wants everyone to check it out in Disney Digital 3-D (which, of course, I later did).
Hopefully I can get a full interview with her very soon. I’ll keep you posted.
In other news…the cast is set for the remake of “Fame.” Stars will include Megan Mullally and Kelsey Grammer (a personal favorite).
And the Golden Globe nomination will be out on Dec. 11. Of course I’ll breakdown the movie picks for you that week.
