“Selma” stars David Oyelowo as MLK. Oyelowo is also appearing in the A24 crime drama “A Most Violent Year”, alongside Oscar Isaac and Jessica Chastain. Tom Wilkinson has been nominated for two Oscars for his work in “In the Bedroom” and “Michael Clayton”. Oprah Winfrey is an iconic daytime talk show host and was also Academy Award nominated for her performance in the classic film “The Color Purple”. Showcase song “Glory” was co-written by John Legend and Common. Common has transitioned into acting with roles in “Just Wright” and now “Selma”, along with a role in the upcoming thriller “Run All Night”, set for release in the Spring.
Lights Camera Jackson (a.k.a. Jackson Murphy) began his career as a film critic in 2006 at the age of 7. Jackson is also a member of SAG-AFTRA and votes annually for the Screen Actors Guild Awards. Currently, Jackson can be heard every Friday morning on WGNA-FM and his reviews are also posted on his website, YouTube channel and Cultjer.com. He is also a contributor to AnimationScoop.com, run by animation historian Jerry Beck. And Jackson hosts the weekly internet pop culture news show “LCJ LIVE”, along with “The LCJ Q&A Podcast”, on which he interviews celebrities and filmmakers.
