Why did they change the release date for “Fantastic Mr. Fox” from November 13th to November 25th? I think it’s a bad decision because there’s a lot of other family films coming out around that time:
On November 20th, “Planet 51” and “The Blind Side”. On the 25th, “Old Dogs” and “The Princess and the Frog” in limited release. (“Frog” goes wide on Dec. 11). “Fox” had a perfect slot a week and a half earlier when no other family film would face competion.
Also, “Yogi Bear” is set for release on December 17th of next year. I think they might eventually change that, because “The Smurfs” is coming out that same day. Or it could be a big “film adaptation of a cartoon” battle at the box office.
