“Avengers: Endgame” is almost here, with its sights set on a record-breaking, $300 million opening weekend. Entertainment Weekly recently put out a piece ranking the 21 Marvel Cinematic Universe installments by grade. And in reading it, I noticed something interesting.
Their critics never gave one of these movies a grade higher than an A-. But their critics also never went lower than a C+ on any of the 21 MCU films.
So I went back and looked at my takes on the MCU chapters. I too haven’t gone higher than an A-, but I did give eight out of the 21 films a grade lower than a C+ (or 38% the entire MCU).
Here’s my latest ranking. You’ll agree with me in some cases and vehemently disagree with me on others. But whether you’re an MCU fanatic or not – let’s get one thing straight: They can’t all be masterpieces.
