Musical comedy romance sequel “Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again” boasts one of the most star-studded casts of the year. Here are some of my favorite roles/movies from each of the 11 main cast members:
“A Bad Moms Christmas” had plenty of problems, but Baranski’s “psycho mom” wasn’t one of them.
James Bond films are obvious choices. Let’s not forget he’s strong in comedy as well, like in “Mrs. Doubtfire”.
No brainer: “Moonstruck”
Yes, I’m still a fan of “Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter”.
No question: his Oscar-winning role in “The King’s Speech”
He’s got a number of standout scenes with Diane Keaton in this summer’s surprisingly good “Book Club”.
One of the most accomplished young actresses of today, James was a knockout as Cinderella and gave notable supporting performances in last year’s “Baby Driver” and “Darkest Hour”.
She charmed us in 2004’s “Mean Girls”, sung her heart out in 2012’s “Les Miserables” and shined in two A24 indies – “While We’re Young” (2015) and the recently-released religious drama “First Reformed”, co-starring Ethan Hawke.
His work alongside the late Robin Williams in “Good Will Hunting” was one piece of an intricate and emotional puzzle.
Pretty much everything but “Hope Springs” and “August: Osage County”
This British icon is still going strong, with “Brooklyn” and the delightful “Paddington” movies.
