So much has been discussed about this year’s Oscars that it’s not worth re-iterating. The host-less show will be what it is. Surprise wins are key for making a memorable three-ish hour telecast. Maybe Richard E. Grant or six-time nominee Amy Adams will shake-up the Supporting races. The Screenplay categories are anyone’s game. Rami Malek and Glenn Close are favorites in the Lead acting categories, but not locks. Alfonso Cuaron is the Director frontrunner, though Spike Lee doesn’t seem like a bad choice, either. And is Best Picture truly a coin toss between “Roma” and “Green Book”?
