A team of scientists explore an uncharted island in the Pacific, venturing into the domain of the mighty Kong, and must fight to escape a primal Eden. (WARNER BROS.)
Kong was previously on-screen in films released in 1933, 1976 and 2005. This is the latest in WB’s monster movie revivals, following 2014’s “Godzilla”. The cast of “Kong: Skull Island” includes Tom Hiddleston (Loki in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, “War Horse”), Samuel L. Jackson (Nick Fury in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, “Pulp Fiction”, “The Incredibles”), Brie Larson (Oscar winner for the 2015 A24 drama “Room”), John Goodman (“Monsters, Inc.”, “Argo”) and John C. Reilly (“Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby”, “Chicago”). Corey Hawkins, Toby Kebbell, Jason Mitchell and Thomas Mann round-out the supporting cast. Director Jordan Vogt-Roberts helmed the 2013 indie coming-of-age film “The Kings of Summer”.
