As I was standing in line, waiting to be allowed into the theater to see “Iron Man”, I played a little game with my father. We watched the people approaching the ticket taker and tried to guess what movie they were going to. Here’s what I discovered:
If a guy, a bunch of guys or occassionally a guy and a woman looked happy and excited – they had tickets to see “Iron Man.”
If it was a couple and the woman was excited and the guy didn’t look happy – they were going to “Made of Honor.”
Two or more women together – “Baby Mama.”
And families with very little children – either “Horton” or “Nim’s Island.”
Since “Iron Man” made over $100 million and “Made of Honor” only $15. 5 million that means there were a lot more happy guys at the movies the movies this weekend than unhappy guys. Hopefully the ones that got stuck seeing “Made of Honor” can get to “Iron Man” during the week.
