He calls himself “smarter than the av-er-age bear”, and has been offering his friend another pic-a-nic basket for the past 50 years. Now, Yogi Bear is back, along with his pal Boo-Boo, in the highly anticipated “Yogi Bear”.
The last time Yogi was on the big screen was in 1964’s “Hey There, It’s Yogi Bear!” (it was also Yogi’s only previous film appearance). He was last seen by audiences on TV in 1994’s “Yogi the Easter Bear”.
For this new movie he’s gotten quite a makeover. Not only is he a CGI character, but he’s now voiced by comedy legend Dan Aykroyd.
Judge for yourself (see trailer below) but I say Justin Timberlake sounds a lot more like Boo-Boo than Aykroyd does Yogi. The film opens December 17 in 3-D, but has some tough competition, with “Tron: Legacy” coming out the same day.
