Long-awaited, fully animated “The Day the Earth Blew Up: A Looney Tunes Movie” will receive an awards-qualifying run before the end of 2024, ahead of its official theatrical release on March 14th, 2025 (originally Feb. 28). I’ve screened the film and spoke with director Peter Browngardt about this sci-fi action comedy starring beloved characters who are true to themselves and presented in ways you’ve never seen before.

In 2017, the podcast featured “Fairly OddParents” creator Butch Hartman and comedian Gilbert Gottfried. Also, the popular Jenna Wolfe and Oscar-nominated writer/star of “The Big Sick”, Kumail Nanjiani dropped in.
In 2018, 4-time Oscar winning “Wallace & Gromit” creator Nick Park and “People NOW” host Jeremy Parsons joined LCJ. The star and writer/director of the critically-acclaimed film “Eighth Grade” – Elsie Fisher and Bo Burnham – also joined the show.
2019 guests included “How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World” director Dean DeBlois and Emmy-winning host Wayne Brady. 2020 guests included Oscar winner Glen Keane and “Phineas and Ferb” creators Dan Povenmire and Jeff “Swampy” Marsh. 2021 guests included Chris “Ludacris” Bridges and “Diary of a Wimpy Kid” author Jeff Kinney.
In 2022, Jackson welcomed directing legends Richard Linklater and Henry Selick, comedian Larry the Cable Guy and one of Australia’s most popular TV hosts, Larry Emdur. 2023 featured guests such as Oscar winners Pete Docter and Matthew A. Cherry, Emmy winners Andy Samberg, Annie Murphy and Jay Baruchel and “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” star Glenn Howerton.
