“Curious George” is a wonderful movie that is surprisingly emotional and very funny. The story is about a regular man (in a yellow hat) named Ted who owns a museum, along with an old man (voiced by Dick Van Dyke) and his son.
Ted (who is voiced by Will Ferrell) goes exploring in Africa and finds a little monkey who he later names George. Ted was searching for a statue of a BIG monkey to put in the museum but that doesn’t work out.
Ted returns home and George follows him. Later Ted tries to hide George at his hotel and then, at the zoo, while Ted is Talking with Maggie (Drew Barrymore) George floats away on balloons and Ted has to rescue him. By the way – Ted and Maggie may fall in love.
The museum could be closed down forever unless Ted and George can save the day. Do you want to know how it ends? Then you better go out and rent “Curious George.” It’s rated G. If you loved the books or have little ones who are loving the books right now you’ll all absolutely love this movie.
On The Official Kid Critic Report Card, “Curious George” gets a B.
