The soon-to-be released animated film “Planet 51”, starring Dwayne (I can’t believe I’m going back to my wrestling name “The Rock”) Johnson is right now where no film has gone before: IN SPACE!
Back in late August a copy of the film was launched into space (in a rocket, of course) and it’s now aboard the International Space Station, orbiting the Earth.
Wouldn’t it be cool if they did a Galaxy Premiere, and projected the movie into outer space. Then, if there are aliens on other planets out there, they could watch it. And, maybe those of us back here could catch a preview through our telescopes.
The Space Station is getting a lot of movie attention these days. Last month a Buzz Lightyear figure took a ride to help promote the release of “Toy Story/Toy Story 2” in 3-D. Of course this is all for marketing and money, but it’s still fun.
“Planet 51” opens on planet Earth on November 20. I wonder of the astronauts liked it.
