Big news that you may have missed from this past weekend: “At the Movies” is coming back and Roger Ebert is coming back with it!
Ebert (and his wife Chaz) are producing the show, plus Roger will appear each week with his own segment. This is fantastic!
The show will be broadcast on PBS stations nationally, which is where Ebert’s original movie reviews show that he hosted with Gene Siskel got it’s start 35 years ago.
The two main critics for “Roger Ebert Presents At the Movies” will be Christy Lemire and Elvis Mitchell, and there will be other critics involved as well.
And, the THUMBS will be back, since Ebert has the copyright to the “thumbs-up, thumbs-down” gestures that he originated with Siskel.
The new show will debut in January.
