As usual, some of the winners at Saturday night’s “Kids Choice Awards” were puzzling (Miley Cyrus Favorite Movie Actress, Jim Carrey Favorite Animated Movie Voice). Overall it was a pretty good show, and the TV audience was huge – 7.6 million, the second largest ever for a KCA (though there wasn’t as much slime as usual).
Highlights:
Adam Sandler as the angel.
Zachary Levi accepting the “Favorite Movie” blimp for “Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel” and saying “and to “Twilight”, we’re sorry.”
Jonah Hill announcing the winner for Favorite Movie Actress: “And the winner is…”Precious”.
SpongeBob winning for Favorite cartoon.
And Kevin James did a nice job as host.
Here are my early predictions of the nominees for next year’s movie categories:
Favorite Animated: “Toy Story 3”, “Shrek Forever After”, Despicable Me”, “How to Train Your Dragon”.
Favorite Movie: “Iron Man 2”, “Twilight: Eclipse”, “Narnia 3”, “Alice in Wonderland”.
We’ll know how I did in 11 months.
