In upcoming years Disney will be putting more and more movies out in 3-D. And they’ve just added “Beauty and the Beast” to the list!
The 1991 classic was nominated for several academy awards, including Best Picture and it’s one of my all-time favorite films. According to Variety.com the re-rendering is expected to take about 9-months to complete. It’s set for release in 2010. It’s a safe bet it’s going to get an A from me.
Other Disney films set to come out in 3-D include: “The Jonas Brothers 3-D Concert Movie”, Pixar’s “Up”, “G-Force”, “Tarzan (’99) (another of one of my favorites), “A Christmas Card”, “Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland”, “Step-Up 3”, “Rapunzel”, “Toy Story” (1 & 2) and the 3rd, which is also set fro 2010.
Very exciting. And I can’t wait for the day when you don’t have to wear the glasses to see the 3-D effects. That’s got to be coming soon.
