Nominations are out for the 66th Annual Golden Globe Awards. It was not a good year for family films. In fact the only family films nominated in any major category are “Bolt”, “Kung Fu Panda” and “Wall-E”.
Some of the big surprises:
James Franco, for Best Actor in a Comedy/Musical for “Pineapple Express”.
Tom Cruise, for Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy/Musical for “Tropic Thunder”. He was only in the film for 2-minutes!
I’m happy that:
Heath Ledger is nominated for Best Supporting Actor for his role as The Joker in “The Dark Knight”.
Amy Adams (Best Supporting Actress for “Doubt”) has another chance to win after not winning last year for her role in “Enchanted”.
The nominees for Best Animated Feature (the most important category) are:
“Bolt” (Wahoo!)
“Kung Fu Panda” (All Right!)
“Wall-E” (Probably will win, but you never know!)
“Bolt” (“I Thought I Lost You”) and “Wall-E” (“Down to Earth”) have also been nominated in the Best Original Song category.
The 66th Golden Globe ceremony will take place January 11th in Los Angeles.
