It’s the final weekend before Christmas. A few things:
First of all…this past weekend (Friday to be exact) was the 70th Anniversary of the premiere of Disney’s “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.” This…of course…was Disney’s first feature-length animated film. The actual release date (in the U.S.) was Feb. 4, 1938…but celebrate the “Snow White” anniversary by watching it again (or for the first time)…or at least eating an apple (but don’t fall into a deep sleep and miss Christmas).
Or…if you’re in the mood for a true holiday movie while you’re waiting for Santa…here are some of my favorites that you can watch:
– The Santa Clause (the original, 1994)
– Elf (2003)
– The Polar Express (2004) See it in IMAX 3-D if you have the chance.
– National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation (1989)
And…if you haven’t seen Fred Claus yet, squeeze in some time to see it between trips to the mall.
