Leonardo DiCaprio’s “Before the Flood”, debuting at the end of the month on the National Geographic Channel, is up for the TV/Streaming Doc category, as well as Netflix’s just-released “Amanda Knox” and Werner Herzog’s “Into the Inferno”.
HBO’s fascinating Nora Ephron doc, “Everything is Copy”, directed by her son Jacob Bernstein, is a Best First Feature (TV/Streaming) nominee. And the excellent CNN series “The Eighties” is a contender in the Limited Documentary Series category.
And in the Best Song in a Documentary category is “Angel by the Wings”, from “The Eagle Huntress”, performed by Sia. Sony Pictures Classics will likely push it for a Best Original Song Critics Choice Award nomination as well.
